Blog for Week7
Bula vinaka to everyone
I am Mrs Vosarewa Vuetaki, updating you with the blog for this week.
As the end of the year approaches, students are very busy revising for their examinations – both Internal and External. Some of our students have just returned from Japan after chasing for a place in the universities there. Most of our students who were engaged in the TOEIC Exams just received their results and our list of activities goes on. To those of you who regularly visit our BLOG, here is another update and I hope that you will enjoy reading it. Here we go:
SHARING AND CARING FOR EACH OTHER
Last Saturday, we celebrated our Homestay Language student, NORI’s success. He has moved up to Level 3 in the Language School in Delana. This is for us, a pleasant achievement because he has just completed his 4th week at the Language School.
The BBQ was held at home in our deck overlooking the city of Lautoka. The cool silence of the star-lit night was complemented by the sparkling glitter of the few intermittent sparks from the Diwali crackers and fireworks.
Patiently waiting for the Pastor to say grace is my grandson, Nori. His goal is to reach Level 6/7 before he finishes in April 2015.
Mr. Nawa Vuiyasawa has been sacrificing a lot of his afternoon free times to be with our boys to train for Baseball, a sport which our boys are very good and talented in. Baseball is so important to them that even when they are sick and classes are skipped, they must be at training in the afternoon.
PREPARATION FOR EXTERNAL EXAMS
Gratitude is given to the Principal and the School Management for allowing our needy students to move in to the hostel (girls) and vocational classroom (boys) to camp and prepare for the exams. Students had started with daily morning and extended afternoon classes and boys are sharing school building duties with the hostel girls as seen below.
Thank you for your time
