NATIONAL TOOHBRUSH DAY
31st of July, 2015 marks the National Toothbrushing Day where Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute’s Year 10 and 11 were given each pack for their drill. Staff of the Ministry of Health were at the school to talk on the importance of brushing our teeth. After, students brushed their teeth. Vinaka Vakalevu to the reps from Ministry of Health – Dental Department, Lautoka Hospital especially to Dr. Ili Korovou.

NATALAU EXCURSION
On Saturday [25/07] 22 of our OC students went for the Cultural Study Camp. They first visited Natalau village where a Sevusevu (traditional welcome ceremony) was presented to the village elders before we left for “The Garden of the Sleeping Giant.” Students enjoyed walking around the garden and looking at the different flowers. Next stop was the Horse Riding Track. Most of the students were excited to go on horse rides and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The highlight I have got to say was the Hot Mud Pool. From the smearing of their bodies with mud [The mud is believed to have healing power, it can cure anyone with skin disease], washing it away and the soothing dip in the naturally hot water.
